When Should You Replace Your Makeup?

Check the period-after-opening symbol, expiry date, and storage instructions on each product. Mascara and other eye products deserve particular care because they are used close to the eyes; do not add water or share them. Replace products if their smell, colour, or texture changes, or if the packaging becomes damaged.

Write the opening date on products if you find it hard to remember. Keep applicators clean and avoid leaving containers open. If a product causes irritation, stop using it rather than trying to mask the reaction with another product.
