Fragrance in Personal Care: Finding What Suits You
20/10/2026A fragrance can be a lovely part of a routine, but people’s skin and scent preferences are different.
Fragrance may appear in perfumes, lotions, cleansers, and hair products. If scented products make your skin uncomfortable, look for fragrance-free options and check the ingredient list; “unscented” products may still contain ingredients that mask odour. Test a new product cautiously, especially if your skin is sensitive.
Apply perfume to clothing only if the fabric can tolerate it, or use it as directed on intact skin. Stop using a product that causes a reaction. If irritation is persistent or severe, ask a healthcare professional for guidance and bring the product label if possible.
